Outside Communities

A unique aspect of the Mt Bethel Village experience is frequent interaction between our residents and day program participants and the outside community. The Township of Warren and local towns throughout Somerset County have been very welcoming and engaging for our adults. We explore local parks, attend special events and concerts, and participate in the annual holiday festivities for Christmas, Hanukkah, Independence Day and September 11. Many of our adults work in the area as well. We volunteer at nearby schools and businesses including the Chelsea Assisted Living community and the Developmental Learning Center. All of these activities take place under the close supervision and guidance of our attentive Direct Support Staff.

We coordinate a robust monthly calendar of daytime, evening and weekend events all year long. Residents, participants and families are encouraged to share information with us regarding additional activities and opportunities they might enjoy.
